Solved / Fixed the issue: Official Mi PC Suite (aka MI Phone Manager) not working

I was also facing the above issue. This problem started when I updated my phone's (redmi 2 prime) stock ROM (MIUI 6.5 stable) to latest ROM / UI (MIUI 8.0 stable). I've later come to know on official forum site that new ROM update will disable the communication of pc suite with Windows desktop.

I extensively researched over internet to find the solution of this issue. It turned into panic and time consuming issue. Afterall I found the proper solution on MIUI global forum.

The solution is the latest MI PC Suite (translated from Chinese to English). You should know the offficial release of MI PC suite is outdated. I'm providing the link for unofficial MI PC Suite. Noteworthy it's a newer version as compared to PC suite available on MI's offficial site. I've tested it on Windows PC and bingo! it's working perfect. Good luck..

Conclusion: Let me tell you that it is the easiest method for completely managing your phone via computer. Other tricky methods that you might over internet are using developer tools like ADB or Android SDK. Nevertheless those are much complex to deal with.
